GCFOM provides therapeutic fishing services for young adults with disabilities and injured veterans. Would you, one of your friends or family members enjoy or benefit from participating in the GCFOM program? If so, contact the GCFOM office by email or telephone to obtain an enrolment packet, or download the application and release forms and mail, or e-mail them to GCFOM. The angler’s supervisor, physician, or guardian must complete any and all of the necessary documents for release. If you would like to volunteer to help people with disabilities click here.

In order to provide the best and safest experience to our anglers, GCFOM has established some minimal guidelines of acceptance for a trip.
  1. It is preferred that anglers have a minimum age of 8 years of age. GCFOM may accept younger anglers under certain circumstances, followed by a staff evaluation.

  2. Any anglers with handicaps must be have a waiver from doctor or affiliated organization of release.

Once the registration forms are received, you will be contacted to set up an appointment with GCFOM’s staff to discuss an upcoming trip. Please review the packet in full detail. Upon completion of the evaluation, the angler will be assigned a trip time and date, or be placed on a waiting list for the next event or tournament. If it becomes necessary to place an angler on a waiting list, you will be contacted when a date becomes available. Perfect knowledge of future forecast is simply not predictable, therefore, in the event of bad weather conditions, trips and dates may be rescheduled.

GCFOM’s volunteers are the lifeblood of our program and essential to our success. We welcome new supporters and recognize each individual’s valued contribution as a gift providing rewarding experiences for all. The opportunity to serve with GCFOM embodies personal growth and the reward of giving back to the community. While sharing the love of fishing, the outdoors, and the fulfilment of helping others, it turns out to be a win-win situation. As we continue to grow, so will our need for volunteers.
